Barnardo’s Scotland has been supporting schools with the PATHS® Programme for Schools (UK Version) since 2017, using the robust Barnardo’s coaching model to work with schools to achieve high quality delivery and positive outcomes.
The coaching includes 1:1 support, in-class support, cluster meetings, measurement and feedback, whole-school training and additional support.
Over the past 5 years, we have worked with establishments in Glasgow, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire and Inverclyde. This short case study highlights some examples of key concepts and competencies from some of these establishments:
pupil of the day, feelings, self-control, friendship, problem solving, generalisation, cross curricular links and whole school approaches.
